* Any balance remaining in May can be applied to summer lessons if the student has taken lessons continuously for the school year.

* This deposit is not refundable if the student chooses to discontinue lessons or not take summer lessons.

* If the instructor chooses to discontinue lessons, the remaining balance will be applied to the last month's tuition

Lesson Tuition

Two tuition options are available for the months of September - May:

Quarterly Payments:

The year is divided into 4 quarters, 3 during the school year and one during the summer.

Three payments are due on the 1st of September (covers Sept -Nov ), the 1st of December (covers Dec - Feb), and the 1st of March (covers March - May).

-or-

Monthly Payments:

Nine payments are due on the 1st of each month from Sept. - May

*You may switch tuition plans at the beginning of September, December and March.

*Tuition reserves a student's exclusive lesson time.  Students will have one 45 minute private lesson, and 15 minutes of self-directed music lab time each week.  Group lessons will take the place of private lessons once per quarter during the school year.  Failure to pay tuition forfeits the student's lesson time.

* Books and exam fees are not included in tuition.  These fees will be subtracted from your registration deposit.  Once the registration deposit has been depleted, you will be asked to replenish your account

*Tuition and registration fees also covers the instructor's continuing education expenses, fees for MMTA membership, convention, preparation time for lessons, and prepping students for events

*Tuition includes an allowance of two sick days, per school year, per student, for the instructor if necessary

*Payment is accepted via Zelle, in cash, or checks made payable to Jenna Huntoon

*No refunds will be offered either for missed lessons or if you cancel lessons.

Late Fees

*There will be a $20 late fee for monthly, and $45 late fee for quarterly tuition payments received after the 1st of the month.

Attendance

*Lessons will be taught from Tuesday, September 5th until Thursday, May 23rd.  There will be no lessons on the following dates: November 22nd-24th (Thanksgiving), December 25th-January 2nd (Winter break), and April 1st - 4th (spring break).

*There will be group lessons in place of private lessons on the weeks of October 16th, February 20th, and April 29th.  Schedule will be communicated to students closer to the date.

*Enrollment in lessons is a purchase of teacher and studio time, reserved exclusively for your child.  Since the time passes whether the student uses it or not, a lesson missed is time lost.  Therefore, I do not give tuition adjustments or make-up lessons.

*Lessons via Zoom are a viable option on bad weather days, or when the student (or instructor) is well enough for a lesson, but doesn't want to share germs (runny nose, cough, etc.)

*Please try and schedule as much as you can around your lesson time.  However, unavoidable conflicts do occasionally arise.  If you are unable to make your scheduled lesson time, you have the option of being on a swap list to change times with another student.  Any time changes must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.

*Students arriving late will not be given extra time to make up for their tardiness

Summer Lessons

*Due to vacation schedules, camps, and other summer activities, you may choose how many lessons you schedule in June, July, and August

*Students are required to take 6 or more summer lessons to guarantee placement for the following fall schedule

*Summer sign up information will be available in May

Studio Procedures

*While teaching, my focus is on the student I am teaching.  Please do not drop your child off more than 5 minutes before their lesson or music lab time, as it distracts from the current student's time.

*You are welcome to sit in on lessons at any time, however if you must bring other children, they need to be quiet and respectful

*Anyone entering the studio must remove their shoes

*No food or drink is allowed in the studio.  No smoking in the studio or on studio property

*Students will bring all materials to every lesson.  A tote bag is recommended

Practice

*Students are expected to practice 5 or more days each week.

*Students will have an assignment sheet printed or emailed that they are expected to read and follow at home

*Students are expected to have a tuned piano or weighted key electronic piano and metronome for home practice

Termination

*Should the student need to terminate lessons for any reason, 30 days notice is expected.  Your enrollment deposit will not be refunded

*Should I need to terminate a student for any reason, 30 days notice will be given.  Any funds remaining in your account will be refunded
